The Golden State Warriors (2-2) hosted the Boston Celtics (2-2) in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday. Golden State wanted to put the Celtics on the ropes with a victory. Boston wanted to give itself a chance to win the title at TD Garden with a victory in Game 5. Andrew Wiggins led the way as the Warriors held off the Celtics, 104-94, to take a 3-2 series lead.
Wiggins led the Warriors with 26 points on 12-for-23 shooting and 13 rebounds. Klay Thompson contributed 21 points on 7-for-14 shooting.
Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 27 points on 10-for-20 shooting and ripped down 10 rebounds. Marcus Smart scored 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting.
