Paramount+ is a great streaming service for building your next movie marathon. It adds dozens of movies to its catalog every month. In March alone, it's already added more than 76 movies to its library.
So with so many newly added movies to choose from, it can be tough to know where to start. I've looked through the full list of everything coming to Paramount+ in March and found the three movies you need to watch first this weekend. There are a few Oscar nominees on the list; "The Banshees of Inisherin" earned nine nominations in 2023, including three for acting performances, while "Nocturnal Animals" scored one nomination for Michael Shannon's performance in the 2016 neo-noir thriller. But there's also a can't-miss documentary that was newly debuted on the platform earlier this month.
So let's dive into it. Here are the three new to Paramount+ movies you need to be streaming this weekend.
'The Banshees of Inisherin' (2022)
Genre: Black tragicomedy
What's it about? "The Banshees of Inisherin" stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as Pádraic and Colm, respectively. These two residents of a small Irish isle were lifelong friends until, one day in 1923, Colm abruptly ended their friendship. That's something Pádraic can't abide, and it leads to disastrous consequences.
Why you should watch it: This movie is a masterpiece, and should have won at least one Oscar. It's magical when Farrell and Gleeson pair together with writer/director Martin McDonagh. They were perfect together in "In Bruges," and they're even better together in this.

'Nocturnal Animals' (2016)
Genre: Neo-noir psychological thriller
What's it about? Susan (Amy Adams) receives a novel from her estranged husband, Edward (Jake Gyllenhaal). Titled "Nocturnal Animals," the manuscript takes Susan down a dark tale centered around Tony (also Gyllenhaal). He's a normal family man thrust into tragedy when his wife and daughter are killed. He teams up with Det. Robert Andes (Michael Shannon) to bring the kidnappers to justice.
Why you should watch it: Set partially in the real world and partially in the novel, this movie has a difficult tightrope to walk. But it doesn't stumble. Instead, Tom Ford delivers a riveting neo-noir film with an incredible cast.

'The Pink Pill: Sex, Drugs & Who Has Control' (2026)
Genre: Documentary
What's it about? You might not know Addyi, but this pink pill has been dubbed by the media as “female Viagra." In "The Pink Pill: Sex, Drugs and Who Has Control," this documentary follows the efforts to bring the drug to market for the treatment of hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD).
Why you should watch it: This documentary is as much about Cindy Eckert, the entrepreneur and women’s health advocate instrumental in making Addyi available to pre- and postmenopausal women, as it is about the drug itself. International Women's Day has come and gone, but it's not too late to learn about this pill that's helped plenty of women.
