ESPN’s Field Yates has released his (way-too-early) 2023 fantasy football rankings and three members of the New York Giants have cracked the top 100.
First up is Saquon Barkley, who Yates has ranked 10th overall and the fourth-best fantasy running back. Ahead of Barkley are Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey and rookie Bijan Robinson.
Barkley, who has yet to sign his franchise tender, was fifth among running backs in 2022 with 284 points (PPR format).
The next Giant to make Yates’ list was Darren Waller, who he ranked 50th overall and fourth-best among tight ends. Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews and T.J. Hockenson were those ranked higher.
During an injury-plagued 2022 campaign, Waller was 31st among tight ends with just 84.8 points in PPR leagues.
The final Giants player to be ranked in Yates’ top 100 is Daniel Jones, who is listed 76th overall and 10th among NFL quarterbacks. Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are among those ranked higher.
Justin Fields and Deshaun Watson also got the nod over Jones.
In 2022, Jones had a breakout season and was ninth among quarterbacks with 289 fantasy points. Had he played in the team’s 17th and final game, he likely would have finished four spots higher at fifth overall.
All three are viable fantasy options with high-ceiling potential in 2023.
