In case you somehow missed it, a massive winter storm is rolling its way across the United States this week, with the Northeast in particular getting hit with what's frighteningly known as a "blizzard bomb cyclone." (In layman's terms, that seems to mean "a crap ton of snow.") And with such frigid weather outside, there's nothing really to do except cozy up inside and, with our help, settle in for something great to watch on TV.
Helpfully, Prime Video — one of the best streaming services around — is loaded with bingeable titles across both television and film. Frankly, the platform is so packed that the sheer breadth of that selection means you might have missed out on some hidden gems upon their initial release.
So take this happily forced couch time to catch up on an underrated and under-the-radar show, from a survival comedy (fitting!) about old high school pals surviving an apocalyptic tidal wave on their former campus to a crime drama about an on-the-run con man who assumes the identity of his prison cellmate. 'Class of '07'
It's apocalyptic outside so might as well lean into the Mother Nature madness with this end-of-the-world Australian comedy: A group of high school friends (played by Emily Browning, Megan Smart and Caitlin Stasey, among others) are celebrating their 10-year reunion at their old all-girls school when a sneak-attack tidal wave hits and traps the attendees and turns their former school campus into an island refuge.
As the women try to find a way to survive the apocalypse, they also have to deal with their unresolved, decades-long personal issues with each other, from adolescent bullying to codependent behavior.
With eight 30-minute episodes, "Class of '07" can easily be watched in a single snow day, and you'll want to — Anna Govert of Paste praises the series as "a brutal and raw examination of womanhood and the aftereffects of high school, a love letter to female friendships, and a raunchy and rowdy good time to boot."

'Sneaky Pete'
From "House" creator David Shore and "Breaking Bad" great Bryan Cranston, "Sneaky Pete" follows con man Marius Josipović (Giovanni Ribisi) who, while on the run from a dangerous gangster (played by Cranson) he once robbed, decides to assume the identity of his old prison cellmate Pete Murphy (Ethan Embry).
The ruse requires Marius-slash-Pete to "reunite" and move in with Murphy's estranged and very dysfunctional family — populated by Otto Bernhardt, Margo Martindale, Marin Ireland, Shane McRae, Libe Barer and Jane Adams — working in their bail-bond business and uncovering secrets of their own.
"Suspenseful, smart, and terrifically cast, 'Sneaky Pete' is part dramedy, part crime caper, and all in all entertaining," praises the critical consensus over on Rotten Tomatoes, where the crime dramedy has a 96% approval rating across its three-season run.

'Harlem'
Is there anything better than gathering with your best gals for a night in? Even if you can't manage to get the girls together in this awful weather, the Prime Video girlfriend comedy "Harlem" from Tracy Oliver ("Girls Trip") will surely scratch that itch.
Across 24 half-hour episodes, the series follows the uptown adventures of four fabulous friends — Columbia professor Camille Parks (Meaghan Good), trust-fund fashion designer Quinn Joseph (Grace Byers), singer-actress Angie Wilson (Shoniqua Shandai) and dating-app creator Tye Reynolds (Jerrie Johnson) — as they navigate ambition, romance and personal growth in New York City.
The Amazon original series was widely acclaimed over its three-season tenure on the streamer; Rotten Tomatoes' critics consensus dubs the comedy "a delight that is often wise about friendly foibles, aided by a terrific cast whose snappy repartee immediately shines."
