If the snow still hasn't shifted and you're one of the millions of U.S. residents who found themselves stuck inside thanks to the February winter storm, you might be left with little choice but to sit back on the sofa and wait it out in front of Netflix (or any of the best streaming services you have access to).
We've already produced a bunch of handy snowstorm streaming guides — here's our round-up of Prime Video shows perfect for a snow day, for example — and now I'm turning my attention to Netflix's movie library.
If you've already spent all your time shovelling the snow away and want to skip right to relaxing on your couch without scrolling endlessly through Netflix's countless genres, allow me to help. Below, I've pulled together a handful of top Netflix movies that you can stream while stuck inside.
3 great Netflix movies to stream while snowed in
'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga' (2020)
When I was trying to think of a feel-good comedy to add to this list, my mind immediately leapt to the wonderfully silly Will Ferrell comedy, "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga."
In this hilarious watch that packs in all the pomp of the real-life international singing competition, aspiring Icelandic musicians (and Eurovision superfans) Lars Erickssong (Ferrell) and Sigrit Ericksdottir (Rachel McAdams) get handed the opportunity of a lifetime: to represent their nation at the world's biggest singing competition. Through a series of bizarre goings-on, and despite the fact that none of the locals believe in them, we watch as the charming pair chase their dreams on the Eurovision stage. Daft, charming, and littered with certified bangers, "The Story of Fire Saga" is a guaranteed mood-booster.

'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery' (2022)
If you're surrounded by snow and want desperately to escape to sunnier climes, I'd recommend "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery." It might not be my favorite of Rian Johnson's Benoit Blanc mysteries — see my "Knives Out" movie ranking to see which comes out on top — but this crime caper seems like a perfect suggestion for a snowstorm.
I was tempted to include at least one of Rian Johnson's cozy crime comedies on this list, as I think any of the "Knives Out" films would serve as the perfect antidote to the winter blues, but "Glass Onion" edges out the original and "Wake Up Dead Man" here specifically because of its setting. Where the others whisk us off to a moody religious hamlet and a fancy family estate, "Glass Onion" sees Blanc jetting off to a sun-soaked private island in Greece, where he unravels a mystery involving billionaire techbro Miles Bron (Edward Norton) and his closest pals.

'The Northman' (2022)
Not looking for a comfort watch or to get drawn into a mystery movie? Would you prefer an adrenaline-pumping action movie to liven up your watchlist while you're snowed in? After scrolling through Netflix's library, I'd say Robert Eggers' brutal revenge thriller "The Northman" more than fits the bill.
In this engrossing action epic, we meet Amleth (Alexander Skarsgård), a young Prince who, after narrowly avoiding death, sets out to realize his destiny and avenge his father by killing the very man who murdered him. Steeped in Norse mythology and soaked with blood, this violent, visually stunning film should be perfect for anyone looking for some action while they're stuck inside.
