Daily Covid deaths top 100 Sunday

The country registered 108 new daily Covid-19 fatalities, a record during the current Omicron-led wave but far below last year's Delta peak of 312, the Public Health Ministry announced on Sunday morning. The 24-hour new caseload remained stable, numbering 25,139.

Sunday's figures compared with the 98 coronavirus-related fatalities and 25,298 new cases reported on Saturday morning.
