College football has changed in recent years, and February’s national signing day no longer means the closing of a recruiting cycle.
Players are reclassifying, signing after NSD and moving around via the NCAA transfer portal. With all these late additions, 247Sports came up with an Overall Team Ranking, which takes into account not only a program’s recruiting ranking but also its transfer ranking.
A little further explanation on the Overall Team Rankings, via 247Sports:
Combining 247Sports’ recruiting and transfer rankings, the overall team rankings provide a complete picture of how teams fare in any given cycle. Sign an all-time high school class like Texas A&M did in 2022? The overall rankings will reflect that. Ink 13 transfers and eight high school players like USC? The Trojans still crash the top 10 of the overall rankings.
Here’s a look at the SEC’s Overall Team Rankings, and we added where each school ranks on a national scale for the three categories: Recruiting, transfer and overall.
