Sue Radford has undergone a stunning transformation days after being involved in a scary car accident. The mum-of-22 has had a "new hair day" as she revealed her new look on her Instagram Story ahead of the family's Easter holiday.
On Saturday (March 25), Sue, who stars in Channel 5's 22 Kids and Counting with her brood, took to the social media platform with a selfie she had taken in the mirror after her trip to the salon. The 48-year-old proudly showed off her new style, going for a bit of a chop and a lighter look.
"New hair day and I absolutely love it. I’ve gone lighter all ready for our holiday," she typed alongside the image of herself beaming at her refreshed tresses. "Thank you @hair_by_marie1271," she added as she was seen posing in a hot pink jumper with white shirt.
Sue also added another story on Instagram with a closer snap of the colour, commenting: "Love the blonde." Her hairdresser, Marie, who she tagged in the sweet snap, then re-shared Sue’s story and said: "You’re very welcome."
Earlier this week, Sue celebrated her 48th birthday at the Radford's family home in Morecambe, Lancashire, where she was greeted with a sentimental cake and a delicious home-cooked dinner, prepared by her devoted husband Noel and their young children.
Sue's husband Noel, 52, led the birthday tributes to the doting mum by posting a sweet throwback photo on Instagram of his wife enjoying a day at the beach to Instagram, captioning the pic: “A big happy birthday to this beauty. We all love you sooooo much." Noel also teased: "Won't say how old but still younger than me."
Meanwhile, the couple's fourth eldest daughter Katie, 19, also posted a heartfelt message to her mum as she gushed over Sue's youthful appearance. "Happy birthday to my favourite lady ever," Katie wrote on Instagram. "I love and appreciate you so so much. Another year only and I would say you don’t look a day over 20."
The celebrations came just days after the she was involved in a car crash which sadly left her family motor in a mess. She posted a worrying snap to Instagram which featured a police van and a fire engine, she later confirmed that she'd thankfully escaped the road collision unscathed and was "so grateful" that none of her kids were in the vehicle at the time.
"Everyone was ok," she captioned the Instagram story. "Not how I expected my day to go but thankfully everyone was ok." Sue added: "The car isn't but it's only metal and can be sorted,'' in the story posted on the family's social media account. "So thankful I didn't have the kids in the car though. Also thank you to all who stopped to ask if I was ok.''
