1. Away From It All, Llyn Peninsula
At Away From It all there are three geodesic domes, each named after the mountain range that forms their backdrop. Staying in Ceiri, Eifl or Carnguwch is perfect for a family glamping holiday or a romantic break away from it all. The geodesic domes sleep four with a double bed and two single futon beds. Each contains a wind-up radio, lamps, candles, a wood-burning stove and quality, hand made, Welsh blankets.

2. Hideaway in the Hills, Snowdonia
Hideaway in the Hills is situated at Dinas Caravan Park & Camping. Just 2.5 miles from Llanbedr village tucked away in the foothills of the Rhinog mountains, between Harlech and Barmouth in the Snowdonia National Park. The pre-erected bell tents come with a natural wood-burning hot tub and are furnished with a proper double bed with duvet, pillows and warm Welsh wool tapestry blanket provided.
There are also sheepskin rugs, bedside cabinets with magazine rack, tealight chandelier, 10 amp electric hook up for lights, electric blanket and electric stove fan heater with real flame effect. There are also two single fold out mattresses. Outside you also have a fire pit.

3. Henfryn Farm, Carmarthenshire
Paddle in the river, walk the farm, enjoy the views down to the river, have a campfire and relax in the beautiful surroundings of a working organic farm on the banks of the River Teifi. Bell tents accommodate four people. Facilities include a compost loo (flushing loo in the yard area), hot shower, fridge and mobile phone charging point.

4. Cabin on the Lake, Powys
This is a unique cabin on a lake, for two adults, where you can chill out in your own, private wood-fired hot tub at the edge of the lake, then dip in the cool waters if you’re feeling hardy. A hot tub, a powerless fridge, and even a unique, private Swedish style composting toilet (with a view!) and an outdoor pump-up shower (conventional shower is available at the farmhouse).

5. Red Kite Tree Tent
If you want to stay somewhere that gets you close to nature then this cross between a tent and a tree-house surely ticks that box.
Red Kite Tree Tent is a spherical canvas structure suspended by rope high up in the trees. Owners say it's the UK’s first tree tent and featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces. It is a lightweight, hybrid aluminium and steam-bent green ash static airframe.

6. Fernhill Valley Farm Glamping Pods
With just a journey of a little over an hour, these glamping pods in Blaenrhondda are worth the trip. Situated at the top of the Rhondda Valleys they are surrounded by walks galore in beautiful woodland, mountain routes and they are just over the Rhigos mountain from the new Zip World Tower. Cosy and sleeps two people, the pods have their own toilets and cooking facilities.

7. One Cat Farm, Lampeter
A small site set in a three-acre meadow in a hidden wooded valley. It overlooks ponds and is surrounded by hedgerows and trees, a haven for wildlife. The farm is also close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay. One of the more private cabins is the insulated den which sleeps up to four (plus cot bed) with heating and double glazing, double beds with sprung mattresses and duvets - and a picture window.

8. Drover's Rest, Powys
Boutique, award-winning glamping site in a stunning farm location near Hay-on-Wye, with great countryside views. You can join in with farm life by feeding the animals, collecting eggs or playing with the lambs. Their Drover's tents sleep from two to four with proper beds, duvets, pillows, towels and bedding, woodburners and both indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. 9. Camp Cynrig, Powys
A glamping site in the heart of the countryside in the Brecon Beacons and just minutes from the foothills of Pen-y-Fan. You can take a lazy walk, following the river upstream or walk the two minutes to Cantref Adventure Farm. Their Bell Tents (with private Shepherds Hut Kitchenettes) and a Luxury Camping Cabin are set apart from each other in a gently sloping field, bordered by the river Cynrig in a quiet and peaceful area. As you'd expect in a campsite in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park there are breathtaking coastal views with paths that are a walker's delight. 12. Cwm Tawel, Bridgend
A luxury yurt and tipi camping site in the Llynfi Valley in a small valley meadow near a farm. The site, which was set up as a community group, is surrounded by walking and cycling tracks and the beautiful beaches of Ogmore and Porthcawl are 20 minutes away.
Nomadic yurts from Mongolia with an eclectic mix of rustic and ethnic furniture. They sleep up to five people, have beds, a log burner and a private deck with a BBQ and seating. Bring your own duvets and linen. There is a communal roundhouse for cooking.

13. Milford Haven Marina Floating Cabins
It's an adults-only stay here as each cabin sleeps two and comes with an en suite shower room, swish furnishings, private balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows so you can enjoy the best views of the water and spectacular sunsets.
The unique feature is that the cabins are right on the water, so you can step out onto your balcony with your morning coffee and be greeted with marina views and the salty sea air all around you.
The Tembek cabin, for example, sleeps two in a comfy king size bed with crisp, white linen and there are also blackout curtains for a restful night’s sleep on the water.

14. Larkhill Tipis and Yurts, Carmarthenshire
A eco-friendly campsite on a 20-acre smallholding with great views of the countryside and not far from the coastlines of both Carmarthen and Cardigan Bay. 20. Wigwam holidays Hafren, Powys
Wigwam holidays Hafren is an incredible glamping experience in Wales. They have six luxurious en-suite Wigwam Cabins on their working farm in Staylittle.
It’s a really great base for exploring the Cambrian Mountains area which is full of hiking and trails, as well as incredible stargazing opportunities.
Each glamping pod has its own outdoor private dining area with lovely views across the countryside. A perfect spot to unwind with a wine or two as the sun goes down over the mountain backdrop.

There are valley views from the campsite which is in more than three acres of meadows and orchards. There are walking and cycling paths right on the doorstep. 22. Beavers Retreat, Pembrokeshire
The Pembrokeshire site has a geo dome that accommodates up to four people on one king-sized bed and one double sofa bed.
Less than 10 minutes' drive from Freshwater East, the dome has an indoor stove, private kitchen and board games to be found inside, while outside there's a private hot tub and a barbecue.
It's 30 metres from the toilets and showers and the owners advise bringing wellies and a torch for the short evening walk to the loos.
