21-year-old motorcyclist dies after collision near Newark as police appeal for information

A motorcyclist has died following a collision near Newark. Emergency services were called to Norwell Lane, Cromwell, at around 6:40pm on Saturday, June 10 after a collision took place.

Sadly despite efforts from the services and members of the public, a 21 year old man was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. Nottinghamshire Police are now asking residents as well as anyone else in the area at the time to come forward to help investigators determine what happened.

Collision Investigator Georgina Luke, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Specially trained officers are supporting this man’s family at this incredibly difficult time, and I want to appeal to the public to come forward if they were in the area on Saturday evening or have any information about what happened.

“I also want to thank the members of the public who provided assistance to the motorcyclist and to those who have already come forward with information”. Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 635 of 10 June 2023, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
