27-year old dies in Leh due to altitude sickness: All about the condition and who can have it

The death of a young man from Delhi NCR has triggered concern for travellers and necessitates for them to learn more about a serious health condition. The 27 year old, digital marketing executive, went on a solo bike trip to Leh where he died due to lack of oxygen. He left for his trip on August 22 and four days later he informed his family about having a headache; later that day he had breathing issues. He died on August 29 during the treatment.

This condition is called altitude sickness.
