The 2023 NFL draft could be one where we see the Pittsburgh Steelers make one or more drafts in the first two days. But how do teams determine the value of a trade when it comes to offering up and accepting deals? Part of it comes from the trade value chart below.
This chart gives a numerical value to every pick in the draft so you can do the math and at least get a general idea of what the Steelers could do in the draft.
For example, let’s say the Steelers wanted to make a trade to go up to No. 9 with the Chicago Bears. That pick is worth 387 points. The Steelers No. 17 overall pick is worth 296. So the Steelers could need to come up with about 100 more points in picks to go up and get their player at nine. Something in the area of the 118 points the No. 49 overall pick the Steelers have for example.
