The Houston Rockets announced Sunday, Oct. 8 as the date of their annual “open practice” at Toyota Center. As part of the fan-focused event, the team will unveil its new marketing campaign for the 2023-24 season, and Hall of Famers Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler will be on hand for a special announcement.
While general admission seating is free with tickets, registration is required. There are reserved seating and brunch options for a small fee, and fans who don’t choose the brunch option will be able to purchase $3 hot dogs, $4 sodas, and $5 nachos at concession stands.
Buy Rockets TicketsAccording to the team, Sunday’s liftoff party will showcase the 2023-24 Rockets competing in shooting drills and skills competitions. It will be the first time for many of the newly signed Rockets — including head coach Ime Udoka, guard Fred VanVleet, and forward Dillon Brooks — to engage with the home fans in Houston.
The 2023-24 preseason will open two nights later on Tuesday, Oct. 10, with a home matchup versus the Indiana Pacers.
