The official route for Cannonball 2022 has been announced with a range of unbelievable super cars set to blast off from Malahide this September.
Cannonball is an action packed supercar spectacle is the largest organised road trip in Europe and drew huge crowds to Malahide last year. This year, the highly anticipated event will raise funds for The Hope Foundation as it sees the highest ever number of car entries including Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren , Aston Martin Porsche, Rolls Royce Bentley and Maserati.
On Friday, September 9, these cars will leave Malahide and make their way to Cork with a fuel stop in Circle K Fermoy and lunch in The Blue Haven Kinsale. Drivers will then make their way to Kerry, then to Galway Sligo, Roscommon and Meath.

The event has raised €1,298,779 for Irish charities to date and this year's official Cannonball charity partner is The HOPE Foundation, an organisation undertaking work with the street children of Kolkata. HOPE funds and operates over 60 projects including 11 child protection homes, a hospital, an ambulance, counselling, food and nutrition, education, healthcare and the restoration of childhoods to children.
Spectators will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the spectacular cars taking part in the road trip before they set off from Malahide. There will also be a unique festival experience for visitors which will include Brazilian dancers, live DJs and a band at the various towns the 200 cars are visiting.
Spectators are being encouraged to wear fancy dress this year with prizes for best dressed up for grabs. Cannonball was founded by Kildare businessman Alan Bannon and the benefit to the host towns for this event is estimated at €2,567,000 per year.
