20-year-old man charged with attempted murder after city centre disturbance

A MAN has been arrested and charged and four people were taken to hospital after a disturbance in Glasgow city centre.

At about 1.35am on Sunday, August 2, police were called to Sauchiehall Street.

Three men and one woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

On Wednesday, police said a 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder, serious assault and assault following the disturbance.

Police Scotland said inquiries are ongoing.

The 20-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
