As the nights draw in and the temperature drops, a seaside break might not be on your radar, but there are plenty of brilliant coastal spots in the UK – from Wales all the up to the north of Scotland – that are well worth a visit in winter.
While it might not be sunbathing weather (and let’s face it, that’s not even guaranteed in summer), blustery beach walks, cosy pubs, and great seafood are just some of the reasons to head to the coast over the colder months.
