KOLKATA: Two years of forced stay at home has left Kolkata’s children with reduced immunity due to lack of exposure to common viruses and bacteria that help build resistance, said doctors.
As a result, scores are now easily falling prey to viral and bacterial attacks, which, the doctors said, their immunity would have fought much better had it not been shielded from similar infections since March 2020.
