Obama Center museum tickets sold out through September; next batch will be available in July

Obama Presidential Center museum tickets for September through January will become available in July.

The Obama Presidential Center's museum tickets have sold out through September due to high demand, but the next batch of tickets will be made available to the public in early July.

Tickets for September 2026 through January 2027 will become available to the general public on July 8, according to the Obama Foundation. Tickets will be made available a week earlier, on July 1, to founding members of the Obama Foundation.

The center's museum tower is the only ticketed area on campus. The vast majority of the campus is free and open to the public.

The first month of tickets sold out within hours of being released in May, and the rest of the first block of tickets appeared to be gone as of Tuesday.

Tickets cost $30. There’s a $4 discount for Illinois residents, a $3 discount for out-of-state kids and $11 off for in-state kids. Tickets can’t be returned, transferred or sold.

“The overwhelming interest we’ve seen since opening our doors is a powerful reminder of how much people are looking for spaces that bring us closer together,” Valerie Jarrett, CEO of the Obama Foundation, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to make more tickets available and grateful to our members whose support helps us invest in the next generation of changemakers.”
