With the NFL season winding down, it’s only a matter of time before we start to hear more about end-of-year awards and accolades.
The Pro Bowl in particular is popular amongst fans because it’s one of the few times when they’re allowed to make their voices heard. However, when it came to the actual play on the field, the game left a lot to be desired.
This led to a public outcry for the league to make changes to the event, and the NFL listened.
This season, the Pro Bowl is shifting to a combination of flag football and competitive activities that will allow the selected players to have fun and give maximum effort without the fear of taking unnecessary hits.
Fans all across the globe have been voting for who they believe deserves to participate in the first-ever Pro Bowl Games. On Monday, the league officially released the leading vote-getters at each position.
The Titans have two players atop their respective positions: running back Derrick Henry and punter Ryan Stonehouse.
Selections for the Pro Bowl Games are determined by votes of fans, players and coaches.

Henry is the obvious choice. His resume and consistent production throughout the season speaks for itself.
Stonehouse, on the other hand, is a bit of a surprise considering he’s a rookie, but there’s no denying that he deserves the nod. The Colorado product is well on his way to breaking Sammy Baugh’s single-season record for the highest punting average.
Stonehouse is currently averaging a whopping 53.6 yards per punt this season — 2.2 yards more than Baugh’s record and 1.8 yards more than Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend, who is also on pace to break Baugh’s record this year.
Henry and Stonehouse aren’t done just yet, though. Fan vote counts for just one-third of the total vote, with players and coaches counting for one-third each, also.
The official AFC and NFC rosters will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m. EDT on NFL Network.
