2 more stats that show how bad Titans OTs have been in 2023

The Tennessee Titans’ offensive line has been a disaster all season long, with the unit giving up 62 sacks, tied for the third-most in the NFL.

Things have been particularly ugly at the tackle spots, though, and there are two stats that further drive that point home.

According to data analyst Arjun Menon, the Titans have provided more help to their offensive tackles than all but one team in the NFL, with Tennessee leaving their tackles on an island approximately 55 percent of the time.

But despite all that help, Titans tackles have totaled a pressure rate allowed of 25 percent, per Brett Kollman of “The Film Room” and “Bootleg Football Podcast.”

That is the highest rate in the league and means they are giving up pressures on one out of every four drop backs on average.

Tennessee has two different tackles ranked in the top five in the NFL in sacks allowed. Andre Dillard’s 12 are tied for most in the league, and Jaelyn Duncan ranks tied for fourth with nine given up.

Bear in mind, Dillard hasn’t played a snap in five different games this season, while Duncan has only seen the field in eight contests. Just imagine if either had a full season’s worth of starts.

All of these numbers are simply unacceptable and MUST change if the Titans hope to get the most out of rookie quarterback Will Levis moving forward.

Tennessee really needs to beef up the entire group upfront this offseason, but there’s no question both tackle spots are the top priorities.
