NEW DELHI: Australia thrashed the Indian men's hockey team 1-5 in Perth on Saturday in the opening Test of the five-game series, despite expectations that they would at least up a respectable fight.
From the beginning to the end of the game, the Australians dictated the tempo. In the last quarter, the Indian squad showed some promise, but it was already too late.
