A dance music festival is set to "shake" Northumberland for the first time this summer in a nostalgic celebration on the 90s..
The Shoe Shaker Fest is aiming to transport attendees back to the era of 1990s DJ stars who captivated audiences with their own bangers and remixes of chart toppers. Andy Whitby, Sash!, QFX, Dream Frequency, Ultrasonic and Kelly Llorenna are some of the names confirmed so far.
Organised by Three Horse Shoes pub owner Kathie Turnbull, it will take place in a disused field next to Northumberlandia on August 5. It has already had ticket bookings from across the country, and organisers hope to draw thousands of attendees who could potentially boost the local economy of Cramlington on that weekend.

The Shoe Shaker Fest will take place on a greenfield site with ample capacity for festival goers, though the initial event will have a smaller attendance. Kathie envisions the festival evolving and expanding in the future, welcoming more participants as it gains momentum.
Kathie said: "I grew up with this music, and it holds a special place in my heart. While I understand that it may not be to everyone's taste, it's my passion.
"If this event is successful, we plan to diversify our future festivals, incorporating music from different decades and genres to cater to a wider audience, including families."
Ticket sales for the Shoe Shaker Fest are now available. To find out more about the event, which takes place at Fisher Lane in Cramlington on Saturday August 5, visit www.shoeshakerfest.co.uk.
