Ballotpedia identified nineteen declared candidates for federal and statewide offices over the previous week. All of these candidates declared prior to their state’s official filing deadline. That number is four fewer than the number of candidates processed the previous week (15). Seven of those candidates were Democratic, while eight were Republican. Four were third-party candidates.
Of those candidates, 11 filed for Congress, six filed for state legislatures, and two filed for a lower state executive office.
Each week, Ballotpedia processes declared candidacy for all elected federal and state offices. We process both official and declared candidates.
