Plans for a 180 home development in St Helens have been approved.
The development, from Taylor Wimpey, will include a range of two, three, and four bedroom homes just off Elton Head Road, in Sutton. The plans also include the creation of new open spaces, and two new bus stops.
Construction on the site, named Sherdley Green by the developers, has already begun and potential buyers can speak to the sales team about the first homes that will be available.

A description of the site on Taylor Wimpey's site reads: "In the countryside, but just a 10 minute drive from St Helens town centre, Sherdley Green offers the best of both worlds. A wide variety of local amenities, including restaurants and shops are within walking distance, whilst excellent travel links are perfect for commuters with the nearby M62 and Lea Green train station."
Ian Harrison, Land and Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “We are very excited that our planning application has now been approved for Sherdley Green and we would like to thank all those who helped to make it happen.
“We are committed to creating long lasting communities and we are confident that Sherdley Green will positively contribute to the local area. The development will deliver a range of high quality housing to meet the local need as well as new public open space and we look forward to starting work on site shortly.”
Jennifer Burns, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “Sherdley Green is one of our first developments to feature the new Taylor Wimpey home designs, which we think customers are going to love.
“We’ve taken feedback from our customers and used this to design modern, flexible, energy efficient homes that meet the changing needs of all of our customers. We can’t wait to show them off.”
