It's been confirmed - the UK will be hosting the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. The annual event was due to be held in Ukraine after the eastern European country won the 2022 contest.
However, organisers the European Broadcasting Union has decided Ukraine is not safe enough to hold the competition due to the ongoing invasion by Russia. So, the EBU has now announced that the UK, who finished runners up this year, will now be hosting the event instead.
And over the coming weeks, broadcaster the BBC will be looking to see which city, and venue, should host Eurovision. But apart from this handy coincidence, we've decided to look at the reasons (and they're strong ones) why Wales not only should host Eurovision, but would be brilliant at it as well!
