Veterans Day 2022 will feature something we haven’t seen in a while: A college basketball game played on an aircraft carrier.
Gonzaga and Michigan State are in San Diego on Friday to play on the USS Abraham Lincoln.
It brings back memories of some past games on aircraft carriers: There was North Carolina and Michigan State in 2011, and then in 2012, games were attempted on the USS Yorktown in South Carolina, but due to condensation on the courts, they were canceled (Florida and Georgetown did play one half, as you’ll see).
