His coach, Joe Lee, verified the news to major publications, stating that USA Track & Field personally informed him of Wilson's inclusion in the relay roster.
While the official team lineup, including the relay pool, is set to be disclosed on July 8, Wilson's outstanding performance at the recent US Olympic Trials solidified his candidacy.

His remarkable time of 44.59 seconds in the semifinals, following an initial record-breaking run of 44.66 seconds, showcased his exceptional talent.
Reflecting on his achievements, Wilson humbly expressed uncertainty about the conclusion of his season, emphasizing the need to remain focused before celebrating prematurely. However, his subsequent inclusion in the relay pool has undoubtedly elevated his spirits.
Born in 2008, Wilson has swiftly emerged as a standout prospect in the realm of track and field, consistently shattering records with each race. Now, he stands on the brink of a remarkable opportunity to showcase his abilities on the global stage at the prestigious Olympic Games.
