New figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) show that by Friday afternoon, some 6.4 million £150 cost of living payments have been processed over the last four days, indicating that it is on track to achieve its plan of making most of them (99%) by the end of Monday, June 26.
Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work, Tom Pursglove MP, told MPs in the House of Commons earlier this week: “By the end of Monday 26 June, we plan to have made 99% of payments to those already eligible - that is millions of payments being made in just seven days. Most remaining already eligible people will receive their payment by 4 July.”
The processing data shows that some 1.6m payments have been made daily since the delivery window opened on Tuesday, June 20. However, for those still waiting on the money, it’s worth remembering that payments are being made automatically and will continue until July 4 - there’s no need to apply.
