13yo alleged Trump victim’s story investigated, several key details confirmed as true

Donald Trump is probably breathing a sigh of relief that, finally, the Jeffrey Epstein story is off the front pages. And it only took incinerating a city, massacring an elementary school, and launching the nation into a costly and disastrous forever war to do it!

And yet, while the media’s attention is understandably locked in horror on the pillar of black smoke that used to be Tehran, the cogs are still turning on some truly horrific allegations.

Case in point, the anonymous South Carolina woman who accused Trump of sexually abusing her at age 13 in the mid 1980s, after she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein. Said woman was interviewed three times by the FBI, during which she gave a detailed account of what had happened. These interview transcripts were initially kept secret by Trump’s Department of Justice, before their hand was forced on their release.

All the pieces matter

Now South Carolina newspaper The Post and Courier has pored over the minutiae of her claims and discovered that a lot of details add up.

For example, she named an Ohio businessman as one of her abusers, saying he was a board member of a Cincinnati-based college. He was. She also said she once saw Epstein at a Rick James concert in Savannah, Georgia. Newspaper records confirm he was performing in the area at the time. She says she was blackmailed by Epstein and that her mother was forced to embezzle money to pay him off. Court records corroborate that story.

The Trump White House is adamant that this accuser’s story cannot be trusted due to her going on to commit crimes in later life. Karoline Leavitt, when asked for comment on the matter, described her as “disturbed”:

“These are completely baseless accusations, backed by zero credible evidence, from a sadly disturbed woman who has an extensive criminal history. … As we have said countless times, President Trump has been totally exonerated by the release of the Epstein Files.”

It’s worth underlining that just because someone has proven to be distrustworthy in other areas of their life, it doesn’t mean everything they say is a lie. Also, frankly, if someone was repeatedly sexually assaulted by powerful men at the age of just 13, who could be surprised that they go on to have a chaotic life and are considered “disturbed”?

Ultimately there’s no way of proving or disproving her story. But then, that’s the case for a huge number of victims of historic abuse. There is no forensic evidence, merely witness testimony. But, given that the FBI interviewed this woman three times, it’s clear the nation’s top law enforcement believed there was a good reason to hear everything she had to say.
