13-year-old boy dies after tractor he was driving overturns in Mayo

A 13-year-old boy has died after the tractor he was driving overturned in Mayo last night.

The incident took place on a local road at Scarduane near Claremorris at around 8.15pm on Saturday.

The young boy was treated for serious injuries at the scene before he was rushed to Galway University Hospital and later transferred to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin, where he passed away on Sunday.
