12-Year-Old Boy Charged In Texas Stabbing Incident

Funeral for six year old Muslim stabbing victim Wadea Al-Fayoume in Illinois

A 12-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing incident that left a 59-year-old woman hospitalized in critical condition in Harris County, Texas. The boy's identity has not been disclosed due to his age, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The incident occurred at a residence on April Valley Court in Harris County, where the woman was found with a stab wound shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday. She was airlifted to a hospital and remains in critical condition.

Authorities revealed that two boys, aged 12 and 7, were suspected of being involved in the stabbing. Both boys initially fled the scene but were later located. The mother of the boys expressed remorse and offered prayers for the victim and her family.

While the 12-year-old has been charged in the stabbing, the 7-year-old is not considered culpable under the law. Child Protective Services have been notified and are involved in the case.

According to the sheriff's office, the altercation that led to the stabbing was initially a verbal confrontation. The woman sustained multiple stab wounds to her abdomen. She was discovered by her brother, who routinely checked on her well-being.

The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities to determine the full circumstances surrounding the stabbing. The community has been urged to keep both families in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
