115 nominations filed for presidential poll, 28 rejected ahead of scrutiny

As many as 115 nominations were filed till Wednesday, the last day of filing papers for the July 18 presidential election, and 87 of them remain for scrutiny, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat said.

The scrutiny of the nominations would be done on Thursday.

Sources said 28 of the total 115 nominations were rejected due to non furnishing of voter list with the names of candidates.
