11-Year-Old Girl Rescued After Clinging To Inner Tubes For 3 Days In Mediterranean

An 11-year-old girl was rescued from the central Mediterranean early Wednesday after clinging to two inner tubes for three days after the boat she was on sank in stormy weather.

The non-governmental organization Compass Collective rescued the girl from Sierra Leone and was believed to be the only survivor from the boat that set out from Tunisia. About 45 others perished when their boat sank.
