Millions of households across Scotland and the rest of the UK are facing an even bigger increase in their fuel bills this month following Ofgem's price cap coming into force from April 1.
The energy price cap acts as a backstop to limit the amount that households have to pay for default tariffs, however, from today (Friday), an estimated 22 million customers will see their gas and electricity bills shoot up by an eye-watering £693 to £1,971 per year.
