There’s lots of fun to look forward to in Leeds during May.
Some huge acts and artists are kicking off the summer fun by headlining major events across our city. This month some of the names topping the bill at music and comedy events include Peter Kay, Duran Duran and Ricky Gervais.
We’ll also see the start of festival season in the city. We have Live at Leeds: In The Park and Slam Dunk Festival to look forward to - both taking place at Temple Newsam.

Elsewhere, there will be the return of North Leeds Food Festival in Roundhay Park. A major treat is coming to Leeds city centre in the shape of the Eurovision Fanzone which will be screening all the action from the famous song contest.
As well as showing the semi-finals and final of the annual musical spectacular on the square’s brand new big screen, the fanzone will also welcome live music and DJ sets as the city celebrates the best of Eurovision.
Events will be happening on Tuesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 11. There also a big party planned for Saturday, May 13.
