11 Grocery Store Private-Label Brands You Didn’t Know Carry Coupons

There is a persistent myth that you cannot use coupons on store-brand products. Shoppers assume that because the price is already low, the retailer won’t offer an additional discount. This is false. Many major grocery chains now treat their private labels like premium brands. They want to drive adoption and loyalty, so they frequently issue high-value digital coupons for their own products.

1. Target (Good & Gather)

Target’s flagship grocery brand, Good & Gather, is a frequent target for discounts. The Target Circle app often features “Circle Offers” specifically for this line. You can find percentage-off deals (like “20% off Good & Gather Produce”) or specific dollar-off coupons. These digital offers stack with your 5% RedCard savings.

2. Kroger (Simple Truth)

Simple Truth is Kroger’s massive organic and natural brand. Kroger is very aggressive with digital coupons for this line. You can almost always find “digital coupons” on their app for Simple Truth items, ranging from $0.50 off snacks to larger discounts on meat and dairy. They also mail out personalized paper coupons for these items to loyal shoppers.

3. CVS (CVS Health)

CVS is famous for its long receipts, and those receipts often contain coupons for CVS Health brand products. The ExtraCare program also sends personalized digital coupons for store-brand pain relievers, vitamins, and first aid supplies. These store coupons can be stacked with ExtraBucks rewards for huge savings.

4. Walgreens (Nice!)

Walgreens’ food and snack brand, Nice!, frequently has digital coupons available in the store’s app. You will often see “myWalgreens” deals that offer significant discounts on Nice! nuts, bags of candy, or household supplies. These digital clips are essential for getting the best price at the drugstore.

5. Publix (GreenWise)

Publix’s organic brand, GreenWise, is a premium line, but it is not immune to discounts. Publix offers digital coupons through its Club Publix program that apply specifically to GreenWise meats and pantry staples. They also occasionally include GreenWise items in their famous “BOGO” weekly ad sales.

6. Whole Foods (365 by Whole Foods Market)

While Whole Foods doesn’t do traditional paper coupons, Amazon Prime members get exclusive “Prime Member Deals” on 365 brand products. These are effectively digital coupons that apply automatically at the register when you scan your app. These rotating deals offer significant percentage-off discounts on specific store-brand categories.

7. Dollar General (Clover Valley)

Dollar General has a very robust digital coupon platform. The chain frequently offers digital coupons for its private food label, Clover Valley. You can clip offers like “$1 off 2 Clover Valley Snacks” directly to your account. These stack with the store’s “$5 off $25” Saturday coupon.

8. Family Dollar (Chestnut Hill)

Similar to Dollar General, Family Dollar offers “Smart Coupons” through its app. You can often find specific discounts for their Chestnut Hill food brand. These digital coupons are easy to use and help bring the already low shelf prices down even further.

9. Meijer (True Goodness)

Meijer’s mPerks program is one of the best in the Midwest. The chain regularly offers digital coupons for its True Goodness organic line. You can clip these coupons to earn rewards on your total purchase, creating a double layer of savings.

10. H-E-B (Hill Country Fare)

Texas giant H-E-B is famous for its “yellow coupons” found in the aisles. These in-store coupons frequently apply to their own Hill Country Fare and H-E-B Select Ingredients brands. They also offer “Meal Deal” coupons, where buying a specific H-E-B meat item gets you several store-brand sides for free.

11. Wegmans (Wegmans Brand)

Wegmans has a fiercely loyal following for its store brand. The chain’s digital app offers “Shoppers Club” digital coupons that rotate weekly. These often include specific dollar-off discounts on Wegmans brand prepared foods, bakery items, and pantry staples.

The “Double Dip” Savings

The existence of these coupons changes the math of grocery shopping. When you combine the lower baseline price of a store brand with a digital coupon, you create a price point that no national brand can touch. It pays to check your store’s app before every trip, even if you only plan to buy generic items.
