With camping season peeking its beautiful head around the corner, it's time to take a good, hard look at your gear to see if anything needs upgrading. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to spending a night under the stars – you don't want to be caught with your pants down (metaphorically, of course), your kit giving up on you in the wilderness.
As always, don't upgrade anything for no reason; if your stove, backpack, and torch are in good working order, no need to get a new colourway. But if your hiking boots are held together by duct tape and your waterproof jacket is soaking wet after two minutes in light drizzle, you'd better replace them.
