Krimoe was arrested outside Parliament - (@Krimoe/Instagram)

A streamer on Twitch has been arrested by armed officers for allegedly waving a imitation firearm outside Parliament.

Krimoe is a content creator known for his live streams on YouTube and Twitch.

His videos feature prank calls and unscripted and unpredictable interactions with the public. He also once hosted UK rap artist Young Adz. He has 80,000 followers on Instagram.

He was in Westminster on Saturday, January 4, at around 10.50pm mid-livestream when police surrounded Krimoe and a group he was with and quickly detained him.

In a video posted on Instagram, police sirens can be heard as Big Ben chimes.

Someone shouts, “oh my f***ing Jesus” and the social media influencer Krimoe puts his hands in the air.

An officer puts him in handcuffs. Police officers can be heard shouting “has someone here got a gun?” An officer explains they had been seen on a CCTV camera with a firearm.

The caption says: “Bro got arrested with a Poundland wap.”

A caption on a separate post says the gun was “a toy”.

The video has been liked over 13,000 times.

The content creator said he had been mimicking a rapper from the US while pretending to fire a toy gun.

The Met Police said 11 people were arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm in public.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 22:50hrs on Saturday, 3 January close to Westminster Bridge following reports of a group of men carrying a firearm.

“Officers attended quickly and arrested 11 men on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm in a public place.

“They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.”
