Glasgow planespotters might need to consider making a wee last-minute trip down the coast this evening.
That's because Prestwick Airport looks set to be greeted by the arrival of no less than 10 US fighter jets.
UK Defence Journal reports that the F/A-18 Hornet jets, which belong to the U.S. Marine Corps, will be touching down at the airport this evening - along with a KC-130J Super Hercules Marine Aerial Refueler.

The Hornet jets have been deployed to Łask Air Base in Poland under the command of U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
The U.S. Marine Corps confirmed via their website that the jets will be used to "conduct flying patrols over Polish airspace as part of a joint effort to increase the readiness and responsiveness of NATO".
"The deployments have been conducted in coordination with host nations and military authorities, and although temporary in nature, they are prudent measures to increase readiness and enhance Eastern Europe’s collective defense", the website adds.
