With Air Quality Index (AQI) values significantly higher than usual in some places, Mumbai residents are suffering from the severe impacts of an unprecedented amount of pollution. The Maharashtra State government has established a seven-member committee to investigate the prospect of prohibiting petrol and diesel vehicles in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) in an effort to reduce pollution. Also construction work all over Mumbai is only making the problem worse.
While the government is working towards solutions, people in Mumbai and nearby places must keep their eyes safe at this period.
