Heartstopper standout Kit Connor is reportedly Marvel Studios' final choice to play Scott Summers, better known as Cyclops, in the highly anticipated X-Men reboot film. According to an initial report on 30 July 2026, the British actor secured the coveted mutant role after extensive meetings with director Jake Schreier and studio president Kevin Feige.
The cinematic rights to the mutant franchise returned to Marvel following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, paving the way for a completely new roster of heroes. The studio has spent the last year quietly testing a vast pool of young Hollywood talent for the primary team.
