Authorities in New Mexico are currently engaged in a search for a 10-month-old girl who was reportedly kidnapped from a park where a tragic incident occurred. The incident involved the discovery of two deceased women and an injured 5-year-old girl, along with the missing infant.
The Clovis Police Department issued a statement indicating that Eleia Maria Torres, the 10-month-old girl, is believed to have been abducted by the perpetrator and is considered to be in immediate danger. Eleia has brown hair and brown eyes, as described in an Amber Alert notice.
The distressing situation unfolded when law enforcement responded to a call regarding the discovery of two deceased women at Ned Houk Park near Clovis. The women, both 23 years old, were found with apparent gunshot wounds near a minivan at the park. They were identified as Samantha Cisneros, Eleia's mother, and Taryn Allen.
Additionally, the 5-year-old sister of Eleia was found at the scene with a head injury and was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, she is currently in recovery from her injuries.
Authorities have been collaborating with the fathers of the children to aid in the investigation. During the search at the park, officers discovered items such as an infant car seat, stroller, and a baby bottle, prompting the search for the missing infant.
The FBI has joined forces with local law enforcement to assist in the investigation. Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Division, Raul Bujanda, assured the public during a news conference that the FBI is committed to supporting the search for Eleia and bringing those responsible for the tragic events to justice.
