Recent data by Narcity revealed that numerous Kirkland products have experienced substantial price increases.
- Kirkland Signature steak strips jumped 13% in one year, climbing from $14.99 to $16.99 for a 340-gram bag.
- Kirkland Signature peanut butter pretzels rose 4%, from $12.99 to $13.49 for a 1.56-kilogram tub.
- Kirkland Signature microwave popcorn, which went up 5% to $20.99
- Kirkland Signature ice cream bars, which increased 6% to $16.99.
- Kirkland Signature cream cheese rose 5% to $9.99 for a four-pack.
- Costco bakery cookies saw one of the steepest jumps, surging 20% from $9.99 to $11.99.

Big-Ticket Items Hit Harder
- Kirkland Signature chocolate-covered almonds have seen dramatic price swings. In the United States, they jumped from $12.99 to $18.99 at some locations in 2024, according to The Takeout. Canadian shoppers had it worse, with prices climbing from $17 to $27.
- Kirkland Signature smoked salmon has also felt the pinch, rising from $19.99 to $23.99.
- Canned salmon prices also increased, with some shoppers reporting canned salmon jumping by as much as $5.
- Butter prices have fluctuated significantly as well. One customer reported Kirkland Signature butter increasing by approximately $1 in just one week in early 2025.

If you’re looking to save money while Kirkland prices climb, consider these alternatives.
Sam’s Club
Walmart’s warehouse competitor offers a basic membership for $50 — $10 less than Costco’s $60 fee. Sam’s Club carries more mainstream name brands than Costco, which relies heavily on its Kirkland line, Eat This, Not That reported.
Aldi
This discount grocer requires no membership fee and offers competitive prices on many staples. A gallon of milk at Aldi costs $4.29 compared to $4.24 at Costco (where you must buy two), Daily Meal found. Canned goods are consistently cheaper — black beans cost 99 cents at Aldi versus $1.24 at Costco.
Walmart
As the nation’s largest grocery retailer, Walmart offers competitive pricing without a membership fee. Many items, like milk, flour and sugar, work out to roughly the same price per ounce as Costco’s bulk quantities, making it easier to avoid waste.
