Over the last three seasons combined, the Atlanta Falcons defense has recorded just 68 total sacks. For some perspective, the Philadelphia Eagles defense finished the 2022 season with 70 sacks.
So while the Falcons have a number of areas to address with their nearly $60 million in projected cap space, it’s clear that the pass rush needs the most help. The team hired former Saints DL coach Ryan Nielsen as defensive coordinator, but Atlanta still needs to add some talent and depth at the defensive end position.
