The automotive publication released their 10 best cars in a variety of categories that drivers will love in 2026. Of the lists, the sports utility vehicle (SUV) and trucks stood out, with 2026 having some amazing models from some of the best carmakers in the business.

Here are the best SUVs and trucks for 2026.

Chevrolet Trax

  • Average MSRP: $24,970 to $26,330

The best part about the Trax is that it remains an affordable SUV for anyone who might want the extra space and horsepower without adding additional dollar signs to the ticket price.

Ford Maverick

  • Average MSRP: $28,840 to $34,560

Ever since Ford released the 2023 Maverick, this hybrid truck continues to outdo itself every year and remains in a price range where drivers can scale up as the truck does.

Honda CR-V

  • Average MSRP: $28,988 to $35,988

The CR-V has come a long way in the last two decades, adding refinement and elegance to the interior. Car and Driver noted that the 2026 model has some of the most comfortable seats yet.

Honda Passport

  • Average MSRP: $46,665 to $49,900

Car and Driver highlighted how Honda struck a great balance with the 2026 Passport, falling somewhere in between off-road ability and on-road civility for the perfect SUV for any trip.

Hyundai Palisade Hybrid

  • Average MSRP: $44,995 to $59,195

True, hybrid cars have become more cost-efficient as of late, however, with the Palisade Hybrid, Hyundai gives you more space and interior without upping the price tag.

Ford Ranger Raptor

  • Average MSRP: $58,855 to $59,830

No other truck handles both the pavement and off-road terrain like a Ranger Raptor, which is perfect for those who love a truck in the wild, but still need to do the daily commute on the highway.

Ram 1500

  • Average MSRP: $63,260 to $81,670

Chevrolet/GMC Full-Size SUVs

While this covers a range of vehicles, Car and Driver pointed out the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Suburban and Yukon XL 2026 models for matching comfort with capability.

Lucid Gravity

  • Average MSRP: $69,411 to $73,891

The electric Lucid Gravity is sure to pop eyes and drop jaws in 2026 with its 301 and 450 miles of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-rated range, paving the way for untraditionally powered SUVs to come.

Porsche Macan

  • Average MSRP: $75,980 to $82,950

Porsche has started to make inroads with electric vehicles, but the Macan stands out as the model that has “conventionally powered variants bring greater value and driver engagement,” according to Car and Driver.
