‘We just heard shots and ran.’ Man seriously wounded in shooting on North Avenue Beach

A man was shot and seriously wounded at North Avenue Beach Tuesday night.

The man was in the 1600 block of North Lake Shore Drive when another man fired at him around 9 p.m., Chicago police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious to critical condition.
