£1 Asda cafe meals confirmed for Nottinghamshire families and over 60's

A major UK supermarket has confirmed that it is offering £1 meals at all of its 205 UK cafes until the end of March 2023. Asda, which has stores across Nottinghamshire, says the initiative has already proven to be a "lifeline" for some of its customers.

When it comes to keeping warm and healthy, making sure you're eating properly can make all the difference. A warm lunch or dinner, especially one for £1, can be a helpful addition to a daily routine.

Asda first launched the offer for children under 16 in June 2022 via its in-store cafes, later rolling out the service to older people across the community. It has now extended both deals until the end of March 2023 with no minimum adult spend required. Over 60’s will be able to take up the offer of a £1 meal, which the supermarket says could mean a bowl of hot soup, a roll and unlimited tea and coffee. It says the venture will help ensure thousands of older customers can benefit from warm space and hot meal during the colder months
