CHANDIGARH: Haryana on Tuesday reported 1,303 new Covid cases, 94 Omicron variant cases and 17 deaths. In addition, 2,866 persons were declared cured and 1.38 lakh plus were given the vaccine jabs during the day.
The state has so far reported 9,67,397 cases, of which 9,46,742 have recovered, 10,199 are under treatment and 10,433 have died. Of the total active cases, 852 were hospitalised, while the rest were under home isolation.
Two deaths each were reported from Gurgaon, Hisar, Sirsa, Bhiwani and Jind. While one death each was reported from Nuh, Jhajjar, Rewari, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panchkula and Panipat districts. On the Covid cases front, Gurgaon reported highest 425 cases, followed by 125 from Yamunanangar and 118 from Faridabad. Rest 19 districts reported between eight and 96 cases.
Of the total 1,38,171 vaccinations of the day, 25,525 persons got their first dose, 1,06,550 second dose and 6,096 persons got booster dose.
The Covid positivity rate of the day was recorded to be 5.54%, while recovery rate has gone to 97.86% and fatality rate remained stable at 1.08%.
