007 First Light speeds ahead of studio expectations with 3 million copies sold in 10 days

After launching to critical acclaim on May 26, 007 First Light has already shipped over three million copies worldwide. This is a “freaking” success “by all measures,” according to IO Interactive’s chief executive, as the game is well ahead of internal targets and on track to make a good chunk of change.

As per IGN, who spoke with IOI chief executive Hakan Abrak, 007 First Light has sold well over three million copies since its May 26 release. The executive said he got emotional and even cried once positive reviews started flooding in, earning the game an 88 average score on Metacritic and a 91 percent positive score on Steam. “It was an extremely emotional moment. Like almost seven years. I’m just happy because the team is 10 feet tall,” he said.
