Zoopla's most viewed property in Bristol is two-bed £140k flat in city centre

It's no secret that Bristol is a desirable city for house hunters right now. A newly released study confirms this, revealing that property prices in Bristol have had the ninth-biggest rise in the UK over the last ten years.

Currently, the average house price in Bristol is more than £338,000 whereas a decade ago, the average cost was around £174,0000. However, a property expert has explained that homes coming to market are not flying off the shelves like they were a few months ago but they are still going for asking price, at a reasonable speed.

So what are buyers in Bristol looking for? Here are the top ten most viewed properties in the city area on Zoopla over the last 30 days:

1. Two-bed flat in city centre, £140k

This flat on Stephens Street was the most viewed property in the Bristol area and has a fantastic location in Bristol city centre among bars, restaurants and shops. It offers two double bedrooms at £140,000 along with a bathroom and a joint kitchen and living area. Let by Chappell & Matthews, it has an estimated rental value of £1,600 per month.

2. One-bed flat in Whapping Wharf, £120k

This very well-presented one-bedroom apartment has a superb location in Whapping Wharf and by the historic harbourside. It has wonderful natural light and superb views, viewed from the Juliet balcony from the fourth floor of the building.

The building, Anchorage, was completed in 2015 offering luxury accommodation adjacent to Bristol's Floating Harbour. The position offers extremely convenient access to the city surrounded by bars, shops and restaurants. It's on the market for £120,000 through Allen & Harris.

3. Three-bed house in Lockleaze, £190k

The home in Longwell Green has been kitted out with modern fittings by its previous owner including a contemporary kitchen. It was on the market for £325,000 with Blue Sky Property.

6. Three-bed house in Lawrence Weston, £190k

The property consists of an entrance porch, entrance hall, two reception rooms, a kitchen, a first-floor landing, three bedrooms and a bathroom. It offers superb natural light and also has gas central heating, double glazing and front and rear gardens.

7. Three-bed house in Knowle, £250k

Sold by Hunters for a guide price of £250,000, this semi-detached property in Knowle is within walking distance of local amenities, major bus routes, popular schools and parks. It's complete with three bedrooms, a conservatory, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. It also has a large rear garden and off-street parking.

Hunters oversaw the sale of this two-bed terraced home on the outskirts of Knowle for a guide price of £185,000. This home has amenities, major bus links and more all in close proximity.

Comprising of a porch, large living room, kitchen, lobby, two large double bedrooms and a separate bathroom and toilet. Off-street parking to the front and a large enclosed garden to the rear.
